Top 4 Family-Friendly Events to Watch the 2024 Total Eclipse in Shelby County



On April 8, 2024 all of Shelby County will be in the path of totality for the eclipse. However, here is a list of things to do and places to go while you, your friends and family are in Shelby County!


1. Total Eclipse On The Farm

$25 Adults / $15 Kids 12 & Under (includes youth glasses) - EVERYONE must have a ticket as they come with the protective eyewear required for your safety.

Limited Primitive Camping Sites Available - $250 for 10x10 camping site for Two People

2. Viewing Party at Shelbyville Parks and Recreation

  • Park opens at 8a- no camping /overnight stay permitted

3. Skyline Total Eclipse Weekend Camping and Entertainment



April 5-9 | Skyline Drive In (3986 E Michigan Road Shelbyville, IN 46176) | $300-$600 (Buy Tickets Here)

  • Primitive Camping (no showers, hook ups or dump station)

  • Eclipse glasses provided

  • No limit to amount of people at campsite

  • Free classic film showings each night (Friday- Monday)

  • Various entertainment throughout daylight hours

  • Indoor and outdoor restrooms

  • Skyline Cafe open 24 hrs during event (breakfast lunch and dinner).

  • Skyline Cafe online food ordering service will be available

  • Retro Arcade available- games take quarters

  • May come and go as you please (must have badge)

  • Must have at least one (1) person 18 years of age at site.
